BARBER POLE SUGAR LAMP

Using the optical properties of polarized white light traveling through a sugar water mixture I designed a lamp to play on the barber pole phenomenon it creates.

66+ hours of hand grinding, polishing and figuring a 6″ diameter f/9 primary mirror.
Aptly named “LightBucket” this project started through the El Camino City College astronomical optics course.

4TH AXIS BALL MAZE

First time ever running a CNC using the 4th Axis! Created a fun little maze puzzle project encompassing a ball bearing. Also provided a nice refresher on the lathe.

Recently acquired a desktop CNC, pushing my and the machine’s limits on how small of an endmill we can run by creating custom enamel pins.
